Frictions Clutch Plates
Raybestos manufactures original equipment (OE) and aftermarket friction clutches that meet or exceed all manufacturer's specifications for each application. Raybestos manufactures its own specially impregnated papers and are the best on the market to handle passenger car, light truck and heavy duty needs. These custom blends of paper and resins are your assurance that every Raybestos clutch is the right one for the job.

Steel Reaction Plates
A steel plate supplies a friction reaction surface for the transfer of rotating torque. It serves as a thermal heat sink for energy generated at the friction interface. When waved, it acts as a cushion and also acts as a positive separator.

Bands
Raybestos produces original equipment (OE) and aftermarket transmission friction bands that meet the stringent quality standards required in today's complex transmissions. We manufacture three types of performance proven bands: OE bands, Pro-Series™ Bands that are proven durable in heavy duty and high performance applications, and Rayflex® aftermarket bands that are designed to meet OE specifications.

Sprags
A sprag is a one-way mechanical clutch used in many automatic transmissions as a method of allowing the transmission to smoothly change gears under load.

Torque Converter Wafers
Raybestos is an original equipment (OE) supplier of torque converter wafers. Raybestos premium OE materials contain cellulose fibers, a special blend of saturants which provide excellent co-efficients of friction and high-energy Kevlar® material to prevent shuddering during TCC lock-up.

Electrical Components
Raybestos Powertrain has a line of electrical components that include solenoids and speed sensors. All of our electrical parts manufactured by Raybestos are covered by a 5 year/ 50,000 mile limited warranty that covers parts and labor. There is no other warranty like it in the industry. Clutch Pack® Modules
A Clutch Pack® module contains all of the friction clutch plates and/or steel plates needed to make up a transmission clutch pack. They provide our customers with all the plates needed for a rebuild. There are steel plate modules, friction plate modules, as well as combination friction and steel plate modules for most applications.
