We are searching for a Composites Engineer to join our R&D team in an exciting career developing new materials and components for the automotive and heavy-duty industry. In this role you will work with an engineering team to develop composite materials that meet performance requirements and utilize the thermal and mechanical properties of these materials along with FEA analysis to optimize design of mechanical components for powertrain applications.

Responsibilities:

- Develop novel composite materials and designs to meet performance specifications

- Investigate potential new fibers, fillers, modifiers, resins and surfactants for performance enhancements

- Develop manufacturing processes, procedures and work instructions for new developments

- Coordinate between R&D engineering, manufacturing, customers and suppliers for project deliverables

- Write and present technical reports

- Progress projects and materials through lifecycle from concept through validation
