OE Replacement

(HT) - Hybrid Technology friction clutch plates utilize a Raybestos® Powertrain proprietary OE friction material and a unique groove pattern to reduce stresses during shifts to keep the components cooler, improve performance and extend the life of every rebuild. HT frictions seamlessly combine the fluid flow dynamics of a segmented friction lining with the strength and durability of a full friction ring to exceed OE expectations. .  Look for HT plates in notable applications such as the Allison HT740, ZF Chrysler 9HP48, 948TE, Ford 6F35 Gen 2 (2012-ON), GM 6T40, and Toyota/Lexus K313 CVT.

The HT friction material was originally developed for OEM automatic transmission and heavy duty applications. The performance characteristics of the friction material combined with a revolutionary groove pattern allow HT friction clutch plates to provide consistent durable performance and maintain smooth shifts.

HT - Enhanced Fluid Flow Dynamics

The HT “hybrid” groove pattern design achieves unmatched cooling and lubrication, with reduction in drag torque. Traditional radial, waffle, straight-line or segmented designs can result in fluid flowing very quickly through the groove, which provides good lubrication, but less cooling. Fluid absorbs more heat when it flows slowly through the groove, which provides more effective cooling. An ideal pattern promotes a swirl of oil as it flows through the groove.
