PowerTorque is a heavy duty/high performance friction material developed by Raybestos. As an upgrade to standard and Kevlar friction materials, PowerTorque eliminates premature wear on heavy duty diesel and work trucks, fleet vehicles, high performance passenger cars and racing applications. Introduced for high stress applications, PowerTorque has high friction levels for improved holding capacity, positive lock-up characteristics, higher temperature capacity, and higher density yields for greater resistance to compression set than conventional tan materials. In fact, PowerTorque is so durable, that it may outlast the life of the torque converter.
